About the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, and working alongside another Financial Accountant, this varied role has at its core, ownership of the income statement and balance sheet month-end processes for certain entities within the JKW Group.

Some of the key accountabilities are:

• Reconciliation of all income statement & balance sheet accounts monthly.
• Maintenance of fixed asset registers.
• Preparation of month-end reports.
• Preparation of BAS returns.
• General financial reporting tasks.
• Providing support to other business units.
• Assisting with/facilitating the resolution of IT issues in conjunction with external IT support.

About you

In addition to being an accomplished accountant, you will need to display great attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be quick at learning new systems and processes.  Ideally, you will be a highly self-motivated individual who thrives on working with autonomy and is capable of taking responsibility for your own work.

What you bring

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar Financial Accountant or Management Accountant role.
• Ability to effectively plan and prioritise a number of conflicting priorities.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Advanced excel and financial analysis skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Qualification in Finance or related discipline (desirable).
• Experience with IFS or Xero desirable but not required.
