Job Summary

We are seeking a Finance Assistant with proven experience in a similar role to join our fantastic team.

About the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the purpose of this role is to support the Finance function of JK Williams across a wide range of Finance activities.  This role is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records that correctly report the income, expenditure, assets and liabilities of the Group.   Some of the key accountabilities are:-

  • Perform bank reconciliations on a daily basis.
  • Ensure all general ledger accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of fixed asset registers.
  • Reconcile and process monthly credit card statements.
  • Perform regular inventory checks.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of month-end reports.
  • Assist with/facilitate the resolution of IT issues in conjunction with external IT support providers.
  • General administration tasks as required to support others in the Finance Team and across the business. 

About you

This role is well suited to an enthusiastic and driven individual with well-developed administration skills, a grounded and level-headed approach and a natural flair for IT and issue resolution. Recent graduates or those currently studying Finance or a related discipline that have a couple of years of demonstrated administration experience would be well suited to this position.

 

You will need to have great attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and are quick at learning new systems and processes.  Ideally you will be a highly self-motivated individual and capable of taking responsibility for your own work.

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to effectively plan, multi-task, and prioritise a number of conflicting priorities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise numerous tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Qualification in Finance or related discipline (desirable).
