We are seeking a Projects Director with proven experience in Civil Construction.

The Opportunity

JK Williams (JKW) is a successful civil construction business that places high significance on traditional values while recognizing the importance of contemporary practices. We are currently looking to secure a Projects Director who will be responsible for both the delivery and commercial outcome of all projects. 

About you

Ideally, you are a proven performer in a comparable role or perhaps a Senior Project Manager looking to take that next step and make a tangible contribution as a senior member of the team.

Primarily the Projects Director will mentor and coach the PMs to program and progressively monitor site activities to ensure projects meet deadline and budget requirements. The solid management of commercial activities and the capacity to determine whether commercial activities and processes comply with laws, regulations and or standards is considered critical.

Formal qualifications such as a degree in Civil Engineering are essential, as is the ability to simultaneously oversee multiple ongoing projects. The ability to apply logic and reasoning to identify the viability of alternative solutions or approaches to problems is considered a fundamental requirement of this position.

The Projects Director must also demonstrate strong contract negotiation, risk management, project management, financial management, people management, and client management capabilities.
