Job Summary

We are seeking an internal Recruitment Advisor with proven experience in a similar role and ideally with experience in the Construction industry.

About the role

Working as a Recruitment Advisor, you will be responsible for the design, delivery and coordination of all recruitment activities associated with the attraction, sourcing and assessment of both blue and white-collar roles within the business.  You will manage the recruitment activity and enable solutions that attract the very best talent to support our business needs.

 

Working closely with the HR Team, the purpose of this role is to streamline current processes and manage the Recruitment function of JK Williams.  The Recruitment Advisor will also work closely with the senior management team to ensure that the business is adequately resourced to meet our project and business requirements.

The responsibilities of the position will include:

  • Recruitment and selection of blue-collar and white-collar candidates including posting job adverts online, managing and short-listing applications, and interviewing candidates.
  • Headhunting candidates using LinkedIn, SEEK, Indeed, etc.
  • Coordinating pre-employment processes including pre-employment medicals and reference checking.
  • Coordination of onboarding and inductions for new hires.
  • Creating, reviewing, and updating Job Descriptions.
  • Supporting the implementation of a new Applicant Tracking System.
  • Assisting in the development and effective communication of the Company’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP).
  • Preparing recruitment reports for management.
  • Additional administration and reporting as required.

 

About you

 

This role is well suited to an enthusiastic and driven individual with experience recruiting internally in the construction/engineering/mining industries. 

 

You will need to have great attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to quickly learn new systems and processes. You will be a highly self-motivated individual and capable of taking responsibility for your own work.

 

What you bring

 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar level internal Recruitment role within a busy and fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of Civil Construction or related industries.
  • Passion for ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Ability to effectively plan, multi-task, and prioritise several conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong experience using the Microsoft Office suite and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Qualification in Human Resources or related discipline (desirable).
