About the role

Reporting to the Allocations Manager, we are seeking a Yardperson to assist with the day-to-day operations across our Facility The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of small equipment allocation, inventory control and facilities management as well as looking after stock and equipment logistics.  

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage the allocation and return of all small equipment.
• Ensure all systems are updated in accordance with Company Policies.
• Ensure the yard /store is maintained and is clean, organised and safe at all times.
• Carry out a stocktake of construction stock / small equipment on a quarterly basis.
• Ensure all equipment is stored safely and securely allowing for the most efficient identification, placement and retrieval of items.
• Ensure WHS practices are followed by safe storage of tools, equipment and construction stock.
• Ensure staff are trained in the safe operation of hired-out equipment.
• Assist with responding to and closing out action items arising from inspections and or audits.

About you

This role is well suited to an organised and hardworking individual with a mechanical aptitude.  The ability to interact and effectively liaise with internal personnel in a positive and constructive manner is vital, as is some computer literacy. 

An MR licence is a crucial qualification as is holding a forklift licence.  Working knowledge of the Civil Construction Industry is well-regarded.
