About the role
We are seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Officer to manage the Company’s Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance obligations. The successful candidate must bring with them a unique approach, tenacity, self-direction and above all an eagerness that is infectious.
The position is an integral part of the Project Delivery Team, working closely with the Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and other construction personnel. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate appropriate levels of respect and sensitivity necessary for communicating information with respect to EHS.
About you
It is anticipated that the Environmental, Health & Safety Officer will have already obtained, a tertiary qualification in WHS.
Previous experience in a construction environment is crucial with a background in the civil construction arena highly regarded.
The candidate must also hold:
- General Construction Induction Training (White Card).
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety.
- Demonstrated experience in the management of EHS Systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated capacity to assist with third-party auditing.
